Revolutionary non-biocide anti foul coating

How it works

Our non-biocide marine coating is not a traditional paint.
The Hybrid Polymer System works in a completely novel way, by combining advanced polymers into a formula which modifies the properties of the surface at molecular level.
The ultra-thin coating - 20 to 50microns - discourages determined algae and barnacles, substantially inhibiting the formation of hard and soft fouling.
Two of the innovative mechanisms in how the coating works are:
- The surface bound polymer layer chemically ‘hides’ the surface from the organisms.
- The polymer barrier ‘fence’ makes it more difficult for organisms to get hold of.

On a new hull or outdrive/IPS, a thorough clean down with e.g. Isopropanol is all that is required to remove any manufacturing agents or dirt.
No sanding or abrading of the hull or underwater gear is necessary. No primer is required.
Application is by paintbrush direct to the hull, propulsion system or other underwater gear in 2 to 3 colourless coats. Spraying is being investigated but not yet recommended.
Drying time between coats is short, and the boat can be launched straight away after the final coat.
The treated surface appears slightly matt, but our product is virtually invisible on your boat or equipment, retaining original aesthetics and increasing residual value.

In real world tests on a number of boats treated with our coating, we have found there is negligible formation of hard or soft fouling.
If light algae build up occurs due to minimal boat usage, it washes off quickly and easily when the boat is at speed or with a hose and sponge wash down.
